The Strategic Alliance of Veterinary Independent Practices (SAVIP) was founded by veterinarians who believe the future of veterinary medicine should remain in the hands of those who practice it.

We formed SAVIP after one conversation turned into hundreds, revealing a hard truth: independent veterinary clinics are being left behind. Corporate-owned hospitals are getting better prices from vendors while charging clients more, and most veterinary GPOs (group purchasing organizations) are owned or influenced by private equity and put their own interests before those of private practices. Their goals don’t align with ours.

So we built something different.

SAVIP is a nationwide alliance of independently owned veterinary hospitals working together to level the playing field. We use the collective strength of our membership to negotiate better pricing, secure fairer contracts, and preserve the integrity of our profession.

We don’t have shareholders to answer to. We answer to each other.
